Rural Communities (Recession)
The hon. Gentleman will have been a student of post-war politics, so he will know that about 25 years ago, the supply of gas was privatised into a commercial market. Is he now regretting that development, as a result of which companies take commercial decisions to deny or to supply only at great cost to those communities with relatively small numbers of consumers? Is that not how the market works, or have I missed something?
