Amendment 28 28: Before Clause 8, insert the following new Clause— "Permissible donors (1) In section 54 of the 2000 Act (permissible donors) is amended as follows. (2) In subsection (2) paragraph (a), after "register" there is inserted "(or eligible to be registered in an electoral register)". (3) After subsection (7) there is inserted— "(7A) Where a registered party accepts a donation from an individual who is eligible to be registered in an electoral register, the treasurer of the party shall report the donation to the Electoral Commission, together with the reasons for accepting the donation."."
