Equitable Life
My hon. Friend is quite right. I am sure that a lot of elderly people are in that situation. The parliamentary ombudsman concluded that there had been maladministration and injustice, yet the Government are fiercely resisting paying the compensation that the ombudsman said was due to policyholders.
