I appreciate that the Justice Secretary could not be in the Chamber throughout, but I hope he will read the speeches of the right hon. Member for Birkenhead (Mr. Field) and my right hon. Friend the Member for North-West Hampshire (Sir George Young), both of which would repay careful study—
