Proceeding contribution from Baroness Dean of Thornton-le-Fylde (Labour) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 30 June 2009. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee of the Whole House (HL) on Coroners and Justice Bill.
Coroners and Justice Bill
The Minister is absolutely right. Our intentions appear to be the same: to protect the families and ensure they have the access that they are entitled to. I do not challenge the Government’s good intentions in putting this provision in Clause 36. I heard the Minister and I thank him for the suggestion that we meet, because the wording as it stands does not meet the points that I have tried to make. I look forward to meeting him. In the mean time, with the leave of the House, I withdraw my amendment. Amendment 134A withdrawn.
