Parliamentary Standards Bill
The time for the amendments is now. It is our one opportunity to make these decisions. Every Member of the House must look to their electorate and to their own conscience as to whether we wish to see our independence disappear for no good reason, when the Bill can be improved to make it workable and do what the public want and what we are required to do. Question put, That the amendment be made. The House divided: Ayes 234, Noes 274.
