Proceeding contribution from Lord Higgins (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 14 July 2009. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Parliamentary Standards Bill.

Parliamentary Standards Bill

I was surprised by what my noble friend has just said. If I understand him correctly, he has information that the Government are intending radically to rewrite Clause 5 on Report. If that is not right, I do not understand the point that he made. He asked when we were likely to have more information on that. No doubt the Leader of the House will enlighten me.
