Proceeding contribution from Lord Thomas of Gresford (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 21 October 2009. It occurred during Debate on bill on Coroners and Justice Bill.

Coroners and Justice Bill

I am most grateful for the undertaking given by the Minister. Clearly an amendment in the terms he describes would be acceptable, giving a power for it to be introduced at an appropriate moment. However, I warn him that I am sure both the BMA and I will be on the case. If that power is not exercised within a reasonable time we will return to the matter at a subsequent date. I look forward to Third Reading and the amendment that the Minister proposes, and thank him for the consideration that he and his department have given this matter. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment 36 withdrawn.
