Equitable Life
I very much agree with the hon. Gentleman, whose experience in his constituency is similar to mine. Is not the conclusion he advances reinforced by the findings of the Public Administration Select Committee, which rightly made it clear that compensation was""not a matter of charity, but a requirement of justice to redress a wrong"?" Should that not be the principle that underlies any decision taken on this matter?
