Proceeding contribution from Bob Ainsworth (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 28 October 2009. It occurred during Opposition day on Future of the Territorial Army.
Future of the Territorial Army
I shall give way to hon. Members in a moment. I am hearing Liberal Democrat and Conservative Members who agree that Afghanistan is the top priority, but whenever it comes to prioritisation they are not prepared to make the hard choices that are necessary in order to bring it about. I should like to hear a little more than, "Do a little more planning", or, "Give people some different options." What options? If people are saying that more money should be spent, let them say where it is to come from.
