Proceeding contribution from Cheryl Gillan (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 14 October 2009. It occurred during Debates on delegated legislation on National Assembly for Wales (Legislative Competence) (Welsh Language).
National Assembly for Wales (Legislative Competence) (Welsh Language)
That is the sort of puerile political positioning that I expect in the run-up to a general election. First, I am not anti-devolution and the hon. Gentleman has no reason to believe that I am. Secondly, I cannot believe that parliamentarians are arguing for less information about a subject on which we are about to legislate. I have to suspend belief when I hear two politicians from opposite sides of the Committee argue for less information before we legislate. I cannot believe it so I am going to pass on.
