Proceeding contribution from Albert Owen (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 14 October 2009. It occurred during Debates on delegated legislation on National Assembly for Wales (Legislative Competence) (Welsh Language).
National Assembly for Wales (Legislative Competence) (Welsh Language)
The hon. Lady is raising a very important point about cross-border issues, but she will be aware of the arrangements that currently sit happily in respect of train services. There is no evidence of train companies not wanting to come across the border. Does she have evidence from bus companies that have approached her to say that they feel that the measures would be a threat to their business, or is she merely speculating?
