Proceeding contribution from Elfyn Llwyd (Plaid Cymru) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 14 October 2009. It occurred during Debates on delegated legislation on National Assembly for Wales (Legislative Competence) (Welsh Language).

National Assembly for Wales (Legislative Competence) (Welsh Language)

I agree entirely with what the Under-Secretary is saying—clearly, one size will not fit all. The Secretary of State said earlier that what might be good for Monmouth would not necessarily be good for Meirionnydd. I do not know whether the Under-Secretary—I am bolstering his case—knows that in Shrewsbury railway station the signage is bilingual at all times, and I do not see any panic there.
