Proceeding contribution from Lord Wills (Labour) in the House of Commons on Monday, 1 February 2010. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee of the Whole House (HC) on Constitutional Reform and Governance Bill.

Constitutional Reform and Governance Bill

I will give way, although I suspect that we shall hear a repetition of the hon. Gentleman's previous arguments. I just want to refer him to the main point, in the hope that he will support our proposals. The main point is that it is simply unacceptable that any Member of this Parliament should not be put in the position of the vast majority of the residents of this country and pay the specified taxes that we have identified.
