Proceeding contribution from Bob Ainsworth (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 3 February 2010. It occurred during Ministerial statement on Strategic Defence Review (Green Paper).
Strategic Defence Review (Green Paper)
I personally get on very well with the hon. Gentleman—I want to say that at the start. However, I sadly point out rather than in any other way that in seeking to establish the Defence Advisory Forum and capture other political views, if I had thought I would get a constructive contribution from the Scottish National party, I would have included it. However, I genuinely thought that any points from its representatives would have been parochial point scoring rather than genuine input into the planning of the future of defence for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
