Proceeding contribution from Lynne Jones (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 24 March 2010. It occurred during Budget debate on Budget Resolutions and Economic Situation.

Budget Resolutions and Economic Situation

I know of at least one other parliamentary colleague who is my constituent. It is a wonderfully diverse constituency as currently composed. To finish my contribution, the website I mentioned is important because it allows our constituents to see what we are doing generally and what we are talking about today as we debate the Budget. It was set up because much of what we say here is not reported and is not easily accessible; on the website it is, and every constituent can see what we have been up to while we have been in Parliament and judge us on our performance. They will see that MPs are very different in what they say and what they do, as well as in how much they say and how much they do. I hope that people will take into account the quality of the individual candidate as well as the party they want to see elected.
