Proceeding contribution from Andrew Pelling (Independent (affiliation)) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 7 April 2010. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Iraq (Humanitarian Aid).
Iraq (Humanitarian Aid)
It is a great privilege not only to hear what the right hon. Gentleman has to say but to take part in his final debate here. He has been such a successful Member for Streatham. May I ask whether there was any discussion about moving on and taking advantage of the wealth that could be created in Kurdistan? Was there any discussion of the opportunity for direct air flights from London to that part of Iraq, so as to promote trade with the UK and, therefore, wealth in that region?
