Banking in Scotland
Perhaps I could provide more recent information than the Minister did. The Bank of England's Agents' summary of business conditions in September reported that:"““Smaller businesses, and those operating in the construction and property sectors, continued to report difficulty in accessing affordable finance. For these businesses, fees and spreads remained significantly higher than pre-crisis levels””." Does my hon. Friend agree that there is further work to be done in those areas?
