Proceeding contribution from Lord Wilson of Sedgefield (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 30 November 2010. It occurred during Opposition day on School Sports Funding.
School Sports Funding
I have received dozens of letters from children in schools in my constituency who have benefited from school sport partnerships. One junior school pupil, Demi-Leigh Hughes, has written to say:"““In my opinion this is wrong! I have heard of some bad things, but this tops the lot””." The Government really do have a problem when it gets to the point where pupils—not their teachers or parents—are writing to Members.
