Proceeding contribution from William Cash (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 14 February 2011. It occurred during Debate on bill on Budget Responsibility and National Audit Bill [Lords].

Budget Responsibility and National Audit Bill [Lords]

My hon. Friend may remember that before the election, a number of us took grave exception to the fact that the Government were not telling the truth about the full extent of the debt. Will she give us an assurance that this Government will tell the truth to the British people, in line with the National Audit Office and Sir Michael Scholar, so that they know what the Budget deficit really is?
