Proceeding contribution from Ian Davidson (Labour) in the House of Commons on Monday, 7 March 2011. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee of the Whole House (HC) on Scotland Bill.
Scotland Bill
The hon. Gentleman speaks about dangerous weapons. As he knows, more people are killed in Scotland by knives than by guns of any kind. Since its inception, the Scottish Parliament has had full control over knives, yet that problem has not been resolved. Will he clarify for me why he has such touching faith to believe that simply transferring control over air weapons to Scotland will resolve the matter, when having full power over knives has not done so?
