Proceeding contribution from Robert Walter (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 10 March 2011. It occurred during Backbench debate on Inter-Parliamentary Scrutiny (EU Foreign, Defence and Security Policy).

Inter-Parliamentary Scrutiny (EU Foreign, Defence and Security Policy)

I am grateful to my hon. Friend for giving way; I might be able to help him. Early in 2009, the European Parliament passed a resolution, paragraph 74 of which"““Recalls that the European Parliament is the only supranational institution with a legitimate claim to exercise democratic supervision over the EU's security and defence policy””."
