Proceeding contribution from Danny Alexander (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 29 March 2011. It occurred during Budget debate on Budget Resolutions and Economic Situation.
Budget Resolutions and Economic Situation
As I was saying, the right hon. Gentleman should look at page 55 of the Red Book, which states:"““As announced by DWP at the introduction of the Welfare Reform Bill 2011, the Government will no longer remove the mobility component of DLA for people in residential care in October 2012. Mobility provision for people in residential care will be reviewed as part of the wider reform of DLA to be introduced from 2013-14.””" That is a clear and sensible position.
