Proceeding contribution from Lord Astor of Hever (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Monday, 16 May 2011. It occurred during Ministerial statement on Armed Forces Covenant.

Armed Forces Covenant

The noble Baroness makes a very good point, and I will certainly take it up with the usual channels. These are very complicated publications, and there is an awful lot to absorb. That probably cannot be done just by a briefing in this House or in the Ministry of Defence, so I am very happy to consider that. On the timing, Members of another place will have an opportunity to debate the Armed Forces Bill in the Committee of the Whole House on 14 June, and the Third Reading will be on 16 June.
