Proceeding contribution from Laurence Robertson (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 23 May 2011. It occurred during Ministerial statement on Rosemary Nelson Inquiry Report.
Rosemary Nelson Inquiry Report
May I thank the Secretary of State for advance sight of the report and his statement? Does he agree that anybody who has had the privilege of meeting the excellent police officers who protect people in Northern Ireland against vicious terrorist attacks will know that they are the most professional and dedicated people anybody could ever wish to see? With regard to the criticisms of the RUC, is the Secretary of State now satisfied as far as he can be that measures are in place for anybody who might be perceived to be in danger in Northern Ireland, given the worrying terrorist threat that still exists?
