Who was adviser to Gordon Brown when he was Chancellor? It was the right hon. Gentleman. On the action that we have taken, we should remember that during the previous Parliament, the Information Commissioner's reports were ignored. Select Committee reports—[Hon. Members: ““Ignored!””] The failure of the police investigation—[Hon. Members: ““Ignored!””] We now know exactly which party was the slumber party—the Labour party. Everyone can see exactly what the right hon. Gentleman is doing. He is trying to play this for narrow party advantage, but the problem has been taking place over many years and is for both our main parties. The public expect us to stop playing with it, rise to the occasion and deal with it for the good of the country.
