Proceeding contribution from Andrew Gwynne (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 7 September 2011. It occurred during Debate on bill on Health and Social Care (Re-committed) Bill.
[2nd Allocated Day]
My hon. Friend is right to be concerned about the way this part of the Bill is drafted. It is incredibly open-ended for the consortium to decide what is exempt from public knowledge. That is quite different from the situation in local government in England, where Local Government Act 1972 prescribes what is exempt from the press and the public.
