Proceeding contribution from John Stanley (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 20 October 2011. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Arms Export Controls.

Arms Export Controls

If the hon. Gentleman will wait one moment, I will finish my point. The Foreign Secretary added:"““We also propose the introduction of a revised risk categorisation,””.—[Official Report, 13 October 2011; Vol. 533, c. 41WS.]" That is a crucial sentence but its meaning is wholly unclear, and it is an issue that the Committees must scrutinise and look at in considerable detail in their next report. They will need to be persuaded that the substantial errors of judgment that have taken place will not reoccur.
