Proceeding contribution from Jim Shannon (Democratic Unionist Party) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 1 November 2011. It occurred during Adjournment debate on UK Relations: Libya.
UK Relations: Libya
In my constituency, there are a number of companies that are very keen to do business in the region. The trip that the Minister mentioned may have been an opportunity for them to do just that, but the incentive for British business to get involved is not fully pushed by Government. Does the hon. Member for Shrewsbury and Atcham (Daniel Kawczynski) feel that the Government should do more to encourage local companies, especially when so many are keen to do business?
