Proceeding contribution from Mark Williams (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 8 February 2012. It occurred during Grand Committee proceedings (HC) on Agricultural Policy.
Agricultural Policy
My hon. Friend talks about the difficulties faced by existing farmers. Will he also expand on the concerns of potential new young entrants to the industry? Farming unions are always telling me about the age profile of the farming sector. If we do not get these issues right, we will deter the next generation of farmers.
