Proceeding contribution from Tom Harris (Labour) in the House of Commons on Monday, 26 March 2012. It occurred during Budget debate on Amendment of the Law.
Budget Resolutions and Economic Situation
When the Chief Secretary meets the Chancellor every morning at the Treasury to receive his instructions for the day, has the Chancellor ever once explained to him how his party can possibly blame the spending of the Labour Government for the deficit while having supported every single penny of spending right up till November 2008— 18 months before the general election?
