Proceeding contribution from Sadiq Khan (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 17 April 2012. It occurred during Debate on bill on Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill.

Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill

Has the right hon. Gentleman had a chance to read the Citizens Advice report published today? The final paragraph on the first page states:"““A key message from this report is that early intervention in casework funded by legal aid works. In the absence of free legal advice, the risk is that these individuals will not only be out of scope, but out of mind.””"
