To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the Answer of 13 January 2015 to Question 220242, on what date he plans for all Class 319 electric trains to start running on the Liverpool to Manchester Victoria via Newton-le-Willows route.

The first Class 319 electric trains are due to enter passenger service on the Chat Moss line via Newton-le-Willows, once the electrification work is completed by Network Rail and approved for use by the Office of Rail Regulation. The full fleet of 14 trains is planned to be in passenger service from the December 2015 timetable.
