Cruise Missiles

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what recent assessment he has made of the (a) potential vulnerability of UK cruise missile guidance systems to interference from new Russian weapons and (b) continuing military effectiveness of UK cruise missiles; and if he will make a statement.

Answer

Defence regularly assesses the capability effectiveness of its missile systems. I am withholding the results of these assessments as disclosure would, or would be likely to, prejudice the capability, effectiveness or security of our Armed Forces and allies.
