RAF Volunteer Reserve

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many of the total strength of the Royal Air Force Reserve as of 1 October 2017 are eligible to (a) deploy on overseas exercises, (b) deploy on overseas operations and (c) be mobilised.
- Answer

As at 1 October 2017, some 1,590 Royal Auxiliary Air Force personnel have an eligibility for mobilisation and deployment on overseas exercises. Of those, some 1,510 personnel are also eligible to deploy on overseas operations.
