1MDB: Malaysia

Question

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what recent assessment he has made of the progress of investigations by UK authorities into financial crimes related to the 1MDB fund in Malaysia; what requests for information have been made to the Malaysian authorities during the course of those investigations; and what responses have been received to such requests.

Answer

This is an operational matter for the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), who are independent from Government. The question has been passed on to the FCA.
