Dogs: Disease Control
- Question
-
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what recent steps his Department has taken to prevent lung worm in dogs.
- Answer
-
Lungworm infections have been found in dogs in the UK for many years. They cannot be transmitted to humans. Effective medicines for treatment and control are available, therefore, we do not see a requirement for government intervention.
