To ask the Secretary of State for Health, if he will undertake an assessment of the adequacy of the procedures used by NHS Improvement to select the provider for community care services in Liverpool; and if he will make a statement.

NHS Improvement used appropriate procedures to select the preferred provider for community services in Liverpool. As part of the assurance process that NHS Improvement undertakes for all transactions, it was identified that the transfer of Liverpool community services to Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust was no longer in the best interests of patients.
