To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment he has made of the potential merits of funding plans to develop an electronic warfare variant of the SPEAR 3 missile.

Defence endorsed the requirement for an Electronic Warfare variant missile. We have completed a Technology Demonstration Programme on this capability with our industry partners and funding for the next stage of development has been assessed.
