To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what assessment he has made of the impact of the ban on all operation of drones in the Central African Republic other than those operated by that country’s security forces on the (a) efficacy, (b) safety and (c) capacity for effective human rights monitoring of UN MINUSCA.

Alongside our partners in the international community, the UK is currently monitoring the Government of the Central African Republic's decision to ban the use of all drones, including surveillance drones used by the UN peacekeeping mission (MINUSCA). We will continue to monitor and report on human rights violations and abuses committed by all parties contributing to the conflict.
