NHS: Staff

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what support he is providing to (a) ambulance crews and (b) other NHS staff who are (i) working and (ii) working in full personal protective equipment during periods of extreme heat.

Answer

NHS England wrote to all National Health Service trusts on further action to support staff during the extreme hot weather, including ensuring sufficient hydration when wearing personal protective equipment to avoid heat stress.
