Ministry of Defence: Contracts

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, whether it is his Department's policy to prohibit defence subcontractors from using technology manufactured by Huawei.

Answer

The Ministry of Defence, operating as a UK Government Department, follows commercial guidance as published by the Cabinet Office, and sets out security controls and requirements on a contract-by-contract basis, as appropriate to the situation and risk involved.
