Chagos Islands: Sovereignty

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the answer of 11 November 2025 to Question 87342 on Chagos Islands: Sovereignty, whether there will be a public report on how the 5% NATO target is met.

Answer

The UK's performance against the NATO spending targets will continue to be reported directly to NATO in the usual way. There are no plans to change this long-standing process.
