Astute Class Submarines: Procurement
- Question
-
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, when does he estimate HMS Agamenmnon will be fully operational.
- Answer
-
HMS Agamemnon is in the final stages of commissioning, and we continue to work closely with industry partners to deliver the submarine by the end of 2026, at which point she is expected to depart Barrow and commence sea trials. For security reasons, we do not disclose specific timelines for full operational capability, which will be dependent on the successful completion of these trials.
