- Question
-
To ask the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, what assessment she has made of the potential impact on remote workers of any restrictions on the use of VPN services.
- Answer
-
The Government recognises that VPNs play an important role in keeping online networks and personal data secure, including for businesses and remote workers.
We continue to consider the evidence on VPNs collected as part of the ‘Growing up in the Online World’ consultation. The Government has been clear that any intervention must be proportionate, effective and evidence-based.
