To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how much his Department has spent on Atlantic Bastion.

Atlantic Bastion has spent £1.49 million on a series of technology demonstrations to inform the Bastion programme. Early design has been made possible through prioritising resource within the Royal Navy.
Future capability intentions and associated funding is laid out in the Defence Investment Plan, which include the Type 92 uncrewed surface vehicle for undersea warfare and the Type 93, Extra Large Autonomous Underwater Vehicle, which will contribute across a number of underwater missions.
