Erasmus+ Programme: Finance
- Question
-
To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, what assessment he has made of the potential impact of the European Commission's proposals to increase the Erasmus+ budget for 2028-2034 on the size of the United Kingdom's contribution to the Erasmus+ budget from 2028.
- Answer
-
We have successfully negotiated fair terms for the UK’s association to Erasmus+ in 2027 - the final year of the EU’s 2021-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework. Any participation in Erasmus+ into the next Multiannual Financial Framework will need to be agreed in the future and be based on a fair and balanced contribution. Going forward, our experience of associating in 2027 will inform any future participation in Erasmus+ under the next Multiannual Financial Framework.
