Network Rail: Biodiversity

Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether Network Rail project account records, include additional expenditure arising from delays or rescheduling of vegetation management works following the identification of protected species.

Answer

Since Network Rail does not record the reasons for rescheduling vegetation work, it is not possible to provide a figure for what additional expenditure may be incurred as a result of rescheduling due to protected species.
