To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what assessment he has made of the number of additional inspectors and specialist staff the Office for Nuclear Regulation will require to deliver its Strategy 2026.

Based on current demand assumptions, the Office for Nuclear Regulation's (ONR) assessment for financial years 2026/27 and 2027/28 is that delivery of its strategy can be achieved broadly within existing workforce capacity levels.
ONR keeps its workforce requirements under regular review through established workforce planning and performance monitoring arrangements and will respond appropriately should future circumstances indicate a need for additional capacity.
