To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the fourth report of the Joint Committee on the National Security Strategy (CP1338), published on 24 June 2025, what progress has he made in delivering a new bilateral treaty with Germany.

The Prime Minister and Chancellor Merz signed the Treaty between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Federal Republic of Germany on friendship and bilateral cooperation (The Kensington Treaty) on 17 July 2025.
